ThinkWise was started as a response to all of the “noise” that we saw out in the organization development marketplace. It seems like every other company was trying to make some type of improvements and they were using tools that may have looked interesting, but were almost impossible to relate to the organization’s strategy and objectives. On top of that, I can’t tell you how many people have decided that they were change management experts and sold their services as such. In the end, however, very few “experts” actually help organizations get the results that they were after. In fact, over 86% of change management efforts fail to hit their target objectives. Think about that for just a moment. That equates to 1000s of hours and billions of dollars lost each year on something that does not work. Frankly, we were tired of this. We figured that we had not only seen enough things not work, but we may have even contributed to some failures in the past. So, we stopped. We began to have a lot of internal discussions. One of my colleagues noted that “hell we can put a man on the moon, but we can’t get people to agree on priorities. That isn’t right.” But we knew we could find a better way.

So, we decided to take a look at what had worked, where we did have success. We looked for the common themes across experiences and clients that we felt good about and where the clients had success. We researched best practices in business outcome studies and how fantastic organizations achieved their results. As we learned more and more, our vision for what we could do and how we could help organizations thrive emerged.

The result was ThinkWise. We knew this company had to be different. There was no way that we could be an ordinary consulting group or technology company. Instead, we wanted to create a company where our knowledge and breadth of experience helping organizations get results could interface with technology to deliver solutions to companies not just when we were available, but when organizations needed it most – on their time and at their disposal. Gone were the days of the billable hour, the planned training time, the monstrous consulting engagement. We have ushered in an era where organizations can take world class practices and easily apply them to their organization in a tailored and efficient manner. That means you can take the knowledge, experience, methods and tools that have long been kept part of the consulting magician’s box of tricks, open it up and apply them to your organization to fit your needs in a simple, user-friendly, engaging, need I say it FUN way.

The time has come to think differently about how you get business results. The time has come to think smarter about how you implement all of those great ideas from those business books that you have read. The time has come to ThinkWise. So, here we are. In the upcoming months I ask you to consider: What would thinking differently about your organization, your customers, your members, and your suppliers allow you to do better?

Over the next few blogs, I will share more of the ThinkWise story and tell you the meaning behind our name…thanks…Dr. Rog.

This is very interesting work. I have been in the field for quite some time. However, I don't think I have ever seen an application put together like this. Very impressive from what I can tell. Are you guys also consulting around this?

This product really hits the "cool factor" for small to mid-size businesses that need to automate the accountability and organizational process, but with real and useful data. Thinkwise has developed something that I wish I were selling instead of what I am selling today! Very cool product guys, I will definitely be following the company as you grow. Nice work!
